Watercolour paintings of the Irish landscape.
I am a mixed media artist living just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland.
There is a remote and haunting beauty to be found in the Irish countryside. I am drawn to the forgotten corners of the landscape, where ivy creeps over tumbling stone walls and the twisted hawthorn tree stands alone in a field.
Using a combination of black ink and watercolours my aim is to capture the atmosphere and wild beauty of these hollow places, and to evoke a feeling of longing and nostalgia for a place where the past lingers on in a land that remembers.Fine art prints are available to purchase from my Etsy store, linked below.
